Defoamer
Anti-Foaming Agent
Reliable foam control for stable industrial and papermaking processes.

Overview
Anti-Foaming Agent is used to reduce and control unwanted foam in industrial process liquids. Effective foam control helps maintain stable processing conditions and can reduce surface defects and operational interruptions. Antifoams of this kind typically work through a bridging mechanism, in which hydrophobic droplets (commonly silicone or mineral-oil based) bridge across the thin liquid film of a foam bubble and rupture it under capillary pressure; silicone-based chemistries in particular are valued in papermaking for holding up at the high pH and temperature common in pulp washing.
