Basic (Cationic) Dyes

Rhodamine

Brilliant pink-red cationic coloration for paper and specialty applications.

Rhodamine

Overview

Rhodamine is positioned as a brilliant cationic dye for vivid pink to red coloration. For the common Rhodamine B grade, the corresponding identity is Basic Violet 10 / C.I. 45170. Its colour and fluorescence come from its rigid xanthene ring system, and the same brightness that makes it valued for coloration is also why Rhodamine B is widely used as a tracer dye in hydrology and flow studies.
