Overview
Scarlet Red 4BS is a direct red dye intended for strong and uniform red coloration. It is suitable for paper and pulp applications as well as other cellulosic substrates where consistent shade development is required. Dyes in this class are typically diazo structures carrying two sulfonate groups, which gives them strong water solubility and good affinity for cellulose fibre, with uptake generally most efficient at elevated bath temperature.
